Style Wars Screening and Discussion In-Person

Join us Thursday, 2/20 @ 7pm for a screening and discussion of the definitive graffiti and hip hop documentary Style Wars (1983).

Famous for its coverage of Dondi White and tagged subway cars, this documentary captures the style and spirit of NY graffiti that set the bar high. But how did graffiti and hip hop engage in and play with information cultures? How does documentary tell otherwise, untellable stories and what can video do?  What role did public broad casting play? What role should it play?
