Teach Talks @ Williams College 2025 In-Person

We hope you will be able to join us for Teach Talks 2025, on January 17th, 2025. This year’s theme will be Privacy Literacy. This year, Teach Talks will be an in-person event. We invite you to join us at Williams College in Williamstown, MA. We will provide parking, breakfast and light afternoon refreshments. Attendees can bring their own lunches or enjoy any of our local restaurants. For more information, see the Teach Talks website. For more detailed information, keep reading!

Teach Talks began in 2019, bringing together teaching librarians from area academic libraries to engage in learning and discussion about issues in library pedagogy. These events have taken place in person at Williams College, online via Zoom, and both at once in a hybrid format.

This year’s theme is Privacy Literacy. In particular, we are excited to announce a keystone workshop presented by Sarah Hartman-Caverly and Alexandria Chisholm, editors of the recent volume Practicing Privacy Literacy in Academic Libraries.

Our afternoon will be one of community building and sharing with a series of lightning talks. If you are interested in presenting a lightning talk, please note this on the registration form. Lightning talks will be no longer than 15 minutes and while we'd love to hear about how you and your colleagues are engaging with privacy literacy, we are also eager to hear what else you are up to!
