Cows go Ping: An AI Petting Zoo In-Person

Have you ever fed a piglet? Or, have you ever forgotten to feed a virtual pet?  On 12/6, the Libraries and OIT bring the best of both worlds with several hand-selected language models to prompt, play with, confuse, observe, compare at a large language model petting zoo.

The rapid increase in generative AI models has taken hold of our ideas of writing, problem solving, knowledge, and human computer interaction. We're here to look more closely at what lesser-known models can actually do. Take a much needed break any time between 1:00 and 4:00, stop by Schow Library, grab some prompts from the feed bowl and see how six different open source models behave.

Whether you are an expert AI user, a novice, or an AI skeptic-- a neoluddite, or friend of the metaverse, there's something for you on the farm.
