Unknown Pleasures: Playlists and Love Songs from the Public Domain In-Person
Pregame for Valentine's Day in this workshop on playlists and media archaeology with cd's, emulators, and arcane knowledge of moods and the public domain. We know there's an ellusive set of criteria for curating a playlist. We want to think about how a mix comes to be, and how it's changed with different media cultures, and the curatorial choices in the making of a mix. How do mood and knowledge interplay?
After designing a playlist, we'll burn to CDs and make cover art using web-based emulators and tools.
