[Cancelled] Poem at the Center of the Internet In-Person

This workshop looks into how to digitally appropriate text, create a small language model, and turn it into an eternally generating, interactive digital poem, or other textual artifact.

In this workshop we'll cover

  • Procedural text and text generation
  • Searching for machine-ready text
  • Low-tech methods for scraping and categorizing text using Tracery
  • "data visceralization" and affective information
