The Reproducibility Crisis in Research In-Person

Replicability in scientific research is essential for maintaining credibility and public trust. But a variety of factors threaten this foundational aspect of good science, including data fraud, a 'publish or perish' mentality, and poor methodological training, to name a few. In this workshop, we will delve into what exactly reproducibility is, why it matters, and why it is threatened in the current climate of research. Participants will leave with a clear action plan as to how they can improve the replicability of their own research, as well as ways to spot poor replicability in the research of others. This workshop will be geared towards Div III but all are welcome.
