Per-Zine Workshop In-Person
Come explore the genre of perzine (short for personal zine) where creators use zines to share individual experiences, feelings, and thoughts. Similar to the literary genres of autobiography and memoir, but often crossed with the type of reflection that might be found within a diary or journal entry, perzines can include many forms of creative expression including collage, illustration, poetry, and more! This workshop will start with a brief exploration of examples of perzines from the Williams Libraries circulating zine collection, followed by an hour of zine making where attendees can get to work on their own perzine. All zines and zine making supplies are provided, but zinesters are invited to bring work in progress to continue/share.
