SUMMARY:Post-Internet Rabbit Holes: Digital Collecting and Curation as Research
DESCRIPTION:What\, like\, even really is "curation"? Or\, like\, a research
practice that has organization and visual representation at the core of
it\, to maximize thoughts and connections. How is thematic collecting and
curation of disparate images and texts\, a kind of research that can be
harnessed for whackier\, more rigorous\, and loving engagement with the
world of things and ideas?\n\nThis workshop uses Are.na\, occasionally
described as "a dating app for ideas"\, "biblically accurate internet"\, or
"public storage for the intellectual\, the absurd\, and the eclectic"\, to
think more closely about curation\, collection\, organization\, sharing as
 research phenomena. \n\nSawyer 328 at 7pm. \nPlease come with a laptop.
